Audi Ultra only makes top-of-the-line vehicles and it takes a Certified Audi Ultra Body Shop to restore them to pre-accident condition.
Dorn’s is one of a select few shops that as achieved an Authorized Ultra Advanced certification from Audi. This means that Audi trusts us to restore all of their model vehicles, including their top of the line, A8, R8 and Q7 models. In order to achieve industry-leading levels of performance, these vehicles incorporate advanced designs and materials that must be meticulously maintained during the repair process in order to preserve the vehicle’s original specifications.
Because of Audi’s high standards for performance, there are multiple tiers of authorizations that a body shop can earn to prove their ability to restore Audi vehicles. Dorn’s is one of a select few Audi body shops in the U.S to have earned an Authorized Ultra Advanced certification. This means that we have the tools and training needed to restore all Audi models, from the A3 to the R8.
Keep in mind that even small damages (even if your vehicle is derivable) need to be looked at by a certified specialist that knows your vehicle. The damage may look light but on Aluminum or specialized steel components, you may not be able to see it without special equipment. Sometimes, continued use will only cause more damage that may not be covered in a loss.
Audi uses a mixture of aluminum, ultra high strength steel, aluminum cast, and alloy steel so that the vehicle responds in a specific way during an accident. Incorrect repairs will cause this sequence to fail. Therefore it is imperative to make sure your vehicle is repaired exactly to Audi specifications or risk loss of use, diminished value or reduced accident prevention and safety.
Audi uses aluminum components in order to meet the highest standards for performance. In order to do proper R8 repairs, a shop needs to have a deep understanding of how to repair or replace aluminum parts. Cutting corners is simply not an option, and could lead to further damages down the road.
Cars were traditionally made with steel that was heavy, but capable of being bent back into its original shape. Today, trends in the industry require the use of aluminum or super high strength steel. This is why Dorn’s has invested in the training and facilities needed to repair aluminum parts.
The aluminum components need to be carefully removed and restored in a separate facility away from the steel components. Steel flakes can cause corrosion on aluminum parts. When it is time to reassemble the vehicle, it is necessary to follow factory guidelines when putting aluminum and steel parts back into the vehicle’s structure.
Not only will our Audi repairs restore the performance of your car, but they will help to protect the value of your vehicle as well. A certified repair can maintain factory warranties, is guaranteed to use genuine Audi parts, and will repair your vehicle with factory approved processes. Under close inspection, your Audi will show no signs that it had been damaged.
